The National Gallery of Art is one of the major beneficiaries of donations from the collection of Joseph F. McCrindle (1923-2008), having received nearly 300 old master and modern drawings as well as 15 paintings. This exhibition celebrates McCrindle's legacy with the finest of the works on paper: 71 drawings by a broad range of artists spanning five centuries, including a notable group of watercolors by John Singer Sargent.
