Description

This National Gallery of Art note card portfolio contains details of four refined still lifes from the Golden Age of Dutch painting, including: Jan van Huysum's Still Life with Flowers and Fruit (c. 1715), Balthasar van der Ast's Basket of Fruits (c. 1622), Willem Kalf's Still Life (c. 1660), and Osias Beert the Elder's Dishes with Oysters, Fruit, and Wine (c. 1620/1625). Each note card has a dessert recipe on the back, so the recipient can enjoy peaches in syrup, pear tart with currants, lemon custard, or almond tartlets. This dessert set is a fun twist on traditional museum note cards.
