This National Gallery of Art Elegant Florals Boxed Note Card Set contains four refined still lifes of botanical arrangements: Jan van Huysum's Flowers in an Urn (c. 1720/1722) and Still Life with Flowers and Fruit (c. 1715), Jan Davidsz de Heem's Vase of Flowers (c. 1660), and Abraham Mignon's A Hanging Bouquet of Flowers (probably 1665/1670). By the early 17th century, the Dutch in particular prized flowers for their beauty and fragrance.
