Mondrian: Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black, Reusable Tote Bag

About the Artist

Piet Mondrian (1872–1944), one of the founders of the Dutch modern movement de Stijl, painted works with radically simplified elements, which reflected what he saw as the spiritual order underlying the visible world. In his best-known paintings from the 1920s, Mondrian reduced his shapes to lines and rectangles and his palette to the fundamental basics. His iconic abstract works had an immense impact on the development of modern art and remain influential in design and familiar in popular culture.
