About the Artist
Pablo Picasso, Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet, and playwright, is known for cofounding the cubist movement. One of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Picasso was exceptionally prolific throughout his career, producing some 50,000 works, and achieved universal renown for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments.
