Vincent van Gogh: Roses, Matted 11 x 14 Print
This print of Vincent van Gogh's Roses (1890) is part of our Masterworks collection of reproductions, specially created using the Gallery's finest quality digital imaging.
This is one of two rose paintings Van Gogh made shortly before his release from the asylum at Saint–Rémy. It is among his largest and most beautiful still lifes, with an exuberant bouquet in the glory of full bloom. The undulating ribbons of paint, applied in diagonal strokes, animate the canvas and play off the furled forms of flowers and leaves. Originally, the roses were pink-the color has faded-and would have created a contrast of complementary colors with the green.
- 7.25 x 9.19 inches (print), 11 x 14 inches (matted)
- Matted, ready to frame
- Archival, premium matte paper (acid-free, lignin-free)
- Archival pigment inks
