Tiny in scale but monumental in attitude, Thiebaud's print features intimate and frivolous lipsticks lined up like soldiers with military precision. Scratched into the metal printing plate, his lines carry burrs that catch ink and cause a slight bleed, softening the forceful marks with blushes of pink and gold.
